The iron status assessed using the following parameters:- Haemogloein levels .The nutritional status was assessed from nutritional/ socio-economic questionnaire that was answered by the students. It was found that the haemoglobien levels of students fall below the WHO –cut-off points (<12g/dl for non-pregnant women) and (<13g/dl for adult males). The result of this study also showed that Hb level of female students was less than that of the male students.
