Abstract: This study was undertaken at The Nursery of the Department of Horticulture- Faculty of Agriculture- University of Khartoum during winter 2004 – 2005. The objectives of this study were to determine rooting ability of cuttings of grape that were taken from different parts of the branch and treated with (IBA). The expermintal design chosen for the expeirment was randomized Factorial Analysis. Cuttings from basal, medium and terminal parts of the branch from Vitis vinifera. L. variety Biza ELAnza were chosen. The cuttings prepared and planted in sand under Lath house 50% shading, Indole Butyric Acid (IBA) at zero, 2000, 4000, 5000 and 6000 PPM were used. Results showed that medium cuttings were the best in number of roots followed by basal cuttings and terminal cuttings. The highest root length resulted from terminal cuttings followed by medium cuttings and basal cuttings respectively. The highest root percentage was obtained by basal cuttings treated with 4000 ppm, and untreated basal cuttings. The highest percentage of established cuttings (100%) was reported from untreated basal cuttings, and terminal + 2000 ppm, and medium cuttings + 2000 ppm.
