Title: المشكلات السلوكية للمراهقين وعلاقتها بعمل الأم بمحلية امدرمان

Abstract: The research aimed at investigating behavioral problems among adolescents (sons & daughters 12-16) of working mothers. To fulfill this aim، the researcher used the descriptive method (causal comparative). Stratified random sampling consisted of (240) subjects were selected from the classes seven & eight basic education، and also the first and the second classes from the secondary schools in Omdurman locality sector of northern Omdurman. The researcher used the following devices for data collection: - A form of demographic data. - A strength and difficulties questionnaire (adolescents version 12-16 year) The collected data were analyzed by using the following statistical tests: 1-Biserial correlation. 2-Z test. 3-T test for tow independent groups. 4-Spearman’s rank correlation. The present study revealed the following results: 1- There was no significant correlation between behavioral problems with adolescents and mothers work. 2- No significant difference was found among adolescents suffering from behavioral problems between sons of working mothers and non working mothers on emotional problems. 3- Within the group of the working mothers، there was no significant difference on behavioral problems attributed to gender except in (hyperactivity and conduct behaviar). 4- Within the group of the working mothers، there was significant difference was found on behavioral problems attributed to educational level of adolescent. 5- Within the group of the working mothers، no significant correlation between adolescent’s behavioral problems educational level of working mother. The research came with some recommendations and ended with references.
