Abstract: This study was conducted in Khartoum oil refinery in the Northern part of the capital Khartoum. This study as applied research of study consisted of five chapters. The first chapter or introduction started by dealing with an environmental pollution as general, and introductory about Khartoum oil refinery, then secondly the study dealt in details with the environmental pollution and, types, sources, characteristics, environmental impacts, monitoring and treatment and also the study has taken in particular the K.R.C industrial waste which considered as a case of study. The objective was mainly to assess the environmental pollution in K.R.C as general with emphasis on liquid waste water., its methods of treatment and disposal To achieve these objectives some activities had been done as: field survey, that carried in K.R.C site include all industrial wastes produced from various operational units of production. Interviews, investigation among the production unites manager. Conducting of the applied experiments by taking different samples in a manner to test and analysis the liquid waste water chemical constituents which cover these mentioned parameters such as: pH, oil, content, ammonia NH3, volatile phenol, chemical oxygen demand, COD, Biodegradable oxygen demand BOD, suspended solids, SS, dissolved solids D.S and total solids T.S.S. then out comes appear positive results and offently are accepted according to national and international guide lines standards. This study detects that the K.R.C already applied number of environmental pollution control measures. The study concluded: sulfide content is found less than 10 mg before treatment and less than lmg at discharge. Sulfide content through atmospheric is found 0.0mg/ m3 in winter reason and 0.006 mg/m3 in summer season. Dialy waste water discharge form the refinery = 11040/ m3/ day. Dialy production water = 4200 m3/ day Number of pollutants extracted form K.R.C production units are mixed with waste water, these pollution composed of organic, inorganic compounds and concluded to oil separation form liquid waste at the beginning of water treatment, the reuse of oil, reducing of oil content and. Phenol at the end of waste water treatment process, beside achieving the reduction of organic and inorganic compounds, and toxic materials to very minimum limits at the end of waste water treatment. Ultimately some recommendation s are being suggested which as follows: sulfide content emission should be monitored in K.R.C, and its environmental impacts on so far and further Economic utilization of the reuse of liquid waste water form irrigation of forestry plant in K.R.C site
