Abstract: This Study attempts to investigate and asses the community participation approach adopted by (The Sudan Presbyterian Evangelical Church). The aim is to measure to what extent the community participation has been effective in empowering women to sustain the development in Khartoum State ?. The research has applied descriptive and historical approaches , .The data was collected through informal interviews and groups discussion . The study concluded that (SPEC), methodology at adopting participatory approach was successful , although faced many constraint. To improve the community participation approach adopted by SPEC ,The study recommended (among other recommendations ) that: The Sudan Presbyterian Evangelical Church should encourage democratic non- hierarchical values in its training programs
