dc.description.abstract The aim of this study dis to discuss the promotion in Soba University Hospital, related to promotion. The study's basic question is: what is the promotion system adopted by the hospital? is it based on the availability of a vacant job? The subject has been dealt with from the perspective of certain hypotheses such as the unavailability of organizational and occupational structures that comprises job and title description;. The study adopted descriptive analytical method, using primary sources" such as questionnaires, interviews with specialists, highly concerned group discussions, phone calls, in addition to secondary sources represented in different references and scientific papers besides. Official sources such as reports, statistics and records from the differnt sections in the hospital. were also consulted . The most important research findings are Soba University Hospital applies the open promotion system, not conditioning the availability of a vacant job, and that promotion shall apply according to certain time limits. and no organizational and occupational structures, with job description and title was available. Furthermore, the current promotion system does not elevate the employee concerned with promotion to higher duties and responsibilities, and that promotion is linked to and go in line with the hospital regulations The research's most important recommendations are that employee reports should not be based on personal dimension exam system shall be adopted as regards to lab assistant jobs. and periodical reports on personnel shall be issued annually, provided that a system of accuracy and neutrality should be adhered to it, and that job performance shall be insured. en_US
