Abstract: Presentation of literary works through Sudan Broadcasting Corporation is considered as one of the most important programmes since it encourages propagation of knowledge and enlighten among all classes including the uneducated and the illiterate . The present study partial documentation of literary works presented through Omdurman Broadcasting Service & deals with literary programmes which are oral adaptation of written literary works (narrative, plays, poetry, etc.) radio broadcasted by Radio Omdurman. The researcher followed the analytic descriptive method. Accordingly she based her analysis on observation, examination of certain samples in an attempt to evaluate them. The researcher administered a questionnaire through structured interviews to the specialists involved in writing radiobroadcast materials, to elicit information about the history of radiobroadcast station, literary programmes, their suitability to the capacities-of the radio. The study aimed at setting a scientific method of transference of written materials to oral materials : An application on oral radio text transferred from books so as to know the effect of music, sound effects, silence intervals, the second writer's style in transforming text for the radio and classifying the producer (as implementer, interpreter, creator). The study comprises 4 chapters and 14 sections. The first chapter provides the theoretical framework of the study, the beginning and development of Radio Omdurman, information treatise, variety programmes, commercials and educational programmes. The second chapter deals with the cultural mission, the art of writing for the radio and the radio literary language. The third chapter includes the history of radio Omdurman literary programmes, types of adapted writings for the radio and examples of the radio and drama transforms of writing origin. The field study comes to an end with the end of the fourth chapter which deals with the empirical study. It deals with orally transformed programmes, analysis of data collected by the questionnaire, results, recommendations and conclusions. Some of important Results (i) There is a great discrepancy between theory and application interns forming written literary works to the Radio (ii) Most experts prefer the written text especially written for the radio to meet its auditory nature and suit its moral standards. - One of the most recommendations in the establishment of a department to be called، literary works transformed to the radio’. - Following a systematic well known scientific methods in transferring incoming materials. The researcher hopes that her effort would be on addition in the field of literary programmes
