Abstract: This study is intended to investigate the Impediments of creativity among Higher secondary Schools students in the State of Khartoum, towards the impediments of creativity To achieve this aim the descriptive survey method was applied. The sample of the study constitutes of (500) male (50%) and female (50%) students chosen through the stratified eguol random method. A Creativity Impediments Questionnaire designed by the researcher was used to collect data, while statistical tools such as One-Sample Test, two–Sample Test, Stratified mean were employed for the treatment of data. The most remarkable finding of the study there was a high incidence of creativity impediments among Higher secondary Schools students. Moreover, it revealed that parents overdue attention to their children's academic distinction is the greatest of these impediments. Also it was shown there are statistically significant differences between males and females concerning creativity impediments in favour of males, geographical origin (rural and urban) in favour of rural areas, and parental impediments and formality of school syllabi as regards to males. Finally building on the above mentioned results, the study offers some recommendations as well as suggestions for future studies
