Abstract: This study aims at investigating the way achievement motivation, is related to academic achievement, locus of control, and the level of aspiration, among the students of the institutions of higher education at Khartoum State. Students at the third year represented the sample of this study. A strata random sample consisted of (134) females, and (101) males were chosen. For data collection the researcher used the following tools: 1. Gjesme and Nygard Achievement Motivation Scale. 2. Year performances and the final examinations of every academic year. 3. James Locus of Control Scale. 4. Kamilia Abd Al Fatah level of Aspiration Scale. The statistical methods used for data analysis were: 1. Person's correlation coefficient. 2. T-test for two-independent samples. 3. Test of multiple variance analysis, Two-way ANOVA. The researcher used the SPSS program for statistical analysis, the findings are: 1. There is no correlation between achievement motivation and academic achievement. 2. There is negative correlation between achievement motivation and locus of control. 3. There is positive correlation between achievement motivation and the level of aspiration. 4. There are no significant differences between males and females in achievement motivation. 5. There are no significant differences between males and females in the locus of control. 6. There are no significant differences between males and females in the level of aspiration. 7. There is significant interaction between achievement motivation levels, and locus of control levels, with academic achievement. Finally, the study concluded number of recommendations and suggestions
