Abstract: This study aims to the identify changes that have taken place on the role of woman in Sudanese family since set up of the formal education system and so on, The researcher has used analytical descriptive method, as well as the comparative method with size f sample amounted (550) respondents of women of Khartoum with its provinces to test the hypotheses of the Study which the most important: link of the change in roles of woman in the family and her level of education and her economic contribution, The study aimed to several results but the most important are: 1) Great changes happened in the role of woman because of their education and go out to work. 2) Economic contribution of woman in the family enabled her to participate in decision-making within the family. 3) Increasing of poverty rates in Sudanese society played a prominent role in changing of woman role and it seems that the support of woman foi the family. 4) Changes which happened in role of woman did not lead to any real in changes in the status of woman lead to. The study recommends the following: 1) In order for change to be of a positive role, and lead to empowerment of woman, meaningful education must has a positive impact on woman and man minde. The change of the quantitative and formal type by increasing numbers of educated women is not the goal in itself, the aim is to make a change in the woman herse1f so, it is a must to review the content of the education curriculums. 2) Socialization and educational curriculums are the keys to positive change. 3) It’s necessary to provide nurseries in the institutions of the work as condition to help the woman in her productive performance by allowing her to cater for her children. 4) Empowerment of women, especially in rural areas, by support of technical knowledge and means of production. 5) It’s necessary to revise the law of maternity leave to extend it for two years without loss of her salary or work.
