Title: A study of Some Limitations of Dairy Cattle Production in Port Sudan strict

Abstract: A questionnaire was conducted to collect information from 100 dairy cattle farms in Port Sudan District. The questionnaire consisted of nine parts concerning the stockowners (particulars including age, tribe, education, the role of the owner) the corral (area, construction material, shaded area), the stock (number, ages, sex, breed, milking, purpose), watering system adopted, nutrition system (type of feed, quality, quantity, price), stockmen (number, tribe, education, salary, duty), diseases, marketing system and main limitations. The results showed that the main limitations to dairy cattle production in Port Sudan District were: Feeding problems 34.32%, profit margin problems 26.47%, deficiency of drinking water 22.88%, poor veterinary services 6.86%, and low potential of cow's productivity 5.88%, high taxation 1.96% and low standard of education 1.63%.
