Abstract: The ear is a structure specialized to receive these vibrations of the air, transduce them into nervous impulses, encoding important features, and transmit the impulses to the central nervous system; the result is what we call hearing. Hearing loss affect all age groups without discrimination between males and females. This disability is caused by inheritance of some genes from the parents and by many acquired causes. The hearing loss may be due to legions affecting the conductive or sensorinuoral mechanisms.
