Abstract: Haemophilia has been around for a long period of time causes a lot of pain and suffering, this study designed to give us information regarding the knowledge, attitude and practices among haemophilic patients and their families attended haemophilia centre in KTH. Convenience samples of 50 interviewed directly through structural questionnaires. 78% know about the disease, 72% take their information from members in the medical field. 94% know about clotting factor replacement therapy, and only 4% heard about development of inhibitors. Complications of the disease is not known in 36% and 70% don't know about any complications associated with therapy. 42% have poor attendance in the school or job, 24% don't follow any special sport programme, 70% just avoid sports with significant risk of trauma, in 34% there was no change in the lifestyle after disease diagnosis. At home measure level 38%used or at least heard about RICE, 32%use analgesic and about 32%don't do anything. Knowledge about the disease is adequate, Regarding practices of haemophilic patients and their families towards the disease it's good but their attitude towards the disease is not adequate Educational programme should cover all patients and their families using different media, to know more about their disease, therapy, researches and the future of the disease.
