Abstract: This project has presented to discuss the positive aspect and expected risks of the new high tension transmission line between kilo X and Magaber Faroug, which was set up by the National Electricity Corporation to enhance its services. It starts from kilo-X station passing through El-Steen street, Abdullah Eltayeb street, Obied Khatim, the Eastern Station street , Afrah centre , Mohammed Nageeb and up to Magaber Faroug. This line is an extent angle to mid-Khartoum from the encircled line rounding the national capital. It is existed to feed up the centre of Khartoum with electricity power on 110 thousands volt. The reason was the high consumption of the electricity power in the centre and the distance of the area when supplied with the line 33 thousands volt. The line may have several electrical advantages, but the problem is the worse Environmental effects produced from this line because some studies prove that there are some relation between some diseases and the Electromagnetic fields produced from high tension transmission lines. So this project will discuss the Electrical and Environmental effects of the new high tension transmission line between Kilo-X and Magaber Faroug.
