dc.description.abstract The field of brain computer interface (BCI) is receiving a considerable attention with its advantageous applications which support the handicapped persons as well as healthy people. This project find out answers to some questions that emerged to reader's mind; about the important of the BCI, parts of the brain that give the appropriate signal to work with, techniques that are preferable to process the signal detected from the brain and the future of this new branch in improving life. Dataset have been collected from Graz University and were tested using different techniques through the consequence stages of the project. My hypothesis was to replace the computer mouse and to move a cursor just by thinking. The experimental results supported my hypothesis by moving a cursor on the computer screen thus, replacing the ordinary mouse. This thesis challenges the researchers whom interested in finding new interfaces with computer which are easier to use than nowadays interfaces and those whom working with partially or completely disabled people to make them communicate with environment around them. en_US
