Abstract: The problems of water shortage are triggering societies worldwide. The ESD is implemented as a change project in el Helba area, an arid village in western White Nile state, where stakeholders are the ever socially active persons. The results were amazing when the root society was motivated to collect and use water rationally. The expected results are to achieve somehow water security within rural villages in arid Sudan
