Abstract: Despite the huge animal production and sugar industry in Sudan, the lack of quantity and poor quality of animal feeds hindered the development of animal production industry. This project presents a conceptual design of small scale automated machine for animal feed production for small farmers. Engineering properties for the feed were determined and employed in the proposed design. Local sugarcane molasses has 200 kg/ of density and 90% concentration of solids while bagasse has 1400 kg/ of density and concentration of solids 50%. The selected mixture of molasses to bagasse (3/1 ratio) is 1126.6 kg/ density and 23.3 % concentration of solids. A conceptual design of an automated machine for the production of feeds for dairy cattle was successfully studied and developed. The proposed machine consists of screw conveyor, case, hoppers, silos, knife, gear motor, pneumatic circuit and PLC unit. The machine is power by 1 Hp and had overall dimensions 1600mm length, 1543mm height and 640 mm width. The proposed machine is estimated to produce 375kg per hour animal feed
