Title: Stability Studies on Cefquinome Sulphate and Niclosamide Using Derivative Spectroscopic and Chromatographic Methods

Abstract: Stability studies were conducted on cefquinome sulphate and niclosamide to perform chemical and photostability evaluation. Both drugs structures incorporate functional groups liable to chemical and mined at different storage conditions by validated stability-indicating HPLC methods with UV de-tection. 22 full factorial design was selected as an experimental design. In this design, the effects of two factors on physical and chemical stability of both drugs were examined at two levels [two light conditions (dark, light) and two levels of temperature (refrigeration, 4-8°C; room temperature, 30°C)]. These conditions were provided and controlled by using a cooled incubator. The deteriora-tion of both drugs was monitored; for Co-amoxiclav, the frequencies were 0,1,2,4,8 hrs for group 1 and 3; 0,2,4,8,24 hrs for group 4; 0,1,2,3,4 hrs for group 2 and for Ceftriaxone, the frequency was 0, 1, 3, 6,24 hrs for all four groups. In addition, the microbiological stability of these drugs solutions was investigated using USP sterility test.
