Abstract: Corrosion cause a degradation in pipelines material, that may leads to many serious problems and losses in cost. The Objective of this research is to design of solar cathodic protection system for products oil pipelines.The pipelinewhich starts from the Gaily area in Khartoum and ending in Hantoob east of Medani with length of 240(km), has been taking as a case study.All calculations to determine design specification and implementation were made by using Engineering Equation Solver (EES) program. A program was developed by (C Sharp) language to enable users design and implementation a cathodic protection by solar energy for different lines and finding the proportional relationships between the various parameters and design specifications. It has been found that the relation between the soil resistivity and the consumption rate is inversely proportional that's help in choosing the type of anodes that's suitable to the soil of location, and since the soil resistivity is directly proportional to the number of modules, so it willbe easy to select the type of anodes suitable for solar system.
