Abstract: The study aimed at identifying the general feature for innovative thinking and intelligence among pupils of the Basic Stage of Education and pupils of Quranic Khalwas, and to find out if there were any differences in innovative thinking and intelligence among pupils of the Basic Stage of Education, and pupils of Quranic Khalwas. The researcher used the correlative descriptive method. The study sample consisted of pupils from Basic Education Stage, and pupils from Quranic Khalwas in Khartoum State within the age group of (9 – 12) years of age. They were selected by the simple random class method. Its size amounted to 240 pupils (120) pupils from Basic Education Stage, and (120) pupils from Quranic Khalwas. The study tools were represented in the Graham Test for Innovative Thinking, and the Successive Matrices Test for John Raven. These were adapted by the researcher to the study sample. To analyze the data, the researcher used the following statistical methods: The Fachronbach test, the Pearson test factor, the (T) test for one sample, and the (T) test for two separate samples. The study arrived at a number of results, the most important of which are: The general feature of intelligence among pupils in pupils of Basic Education Stage and Quranic Khalwas in Khartoum State is characterized by a high level. In the same way, the general feature of innovative thinking among pupils of Basic Education Stage and Quranic Khalwas in Khartoum State is characterized by high level. The study showed a statistically indicative correlation in intelligence and innovative thinking among pupils of each of Basic Education Stage and Quranic Khalwas in Khartoum State. In the same way, the study showed statistically indicative differences in respect of intelligence and innovative thinking among pupils of Basic Education Stage and pupils of Quranic Khalwas in Khartoum State to the benefit of Quranic Khalwas pupils. There is also a correlation which is statistically indicative between each of the variants of intelligence and innovative thinking and between the age variant among pupils of Basic Education Stage and pupils of Quranic Khalwas in Khartoum State. According to the results of this study, the Researcher made a number of recommendations, the most important of which is to care for developing the pupils’ capabilities of the Basic Education Stage pupils in the fields of innovative thinking and intelligence. This shall come through activating non-graded activities The Researcher presented a number of future studies, and concluded the study with references and supplements.
