Abstract: This research addressed the phenomena of political violence in Islamic Movements for the great role they play in the political and social mobility in the Arab world. Being the mother movement from whose womb most Islamic groups practicing violence have emerged, the research has adopted the Muslim Brotherhood Movement as an example to study this phenomena .The study Problem lies in that the Muslim Brotherhood Movement has adopted political violence as a tool of political practice with the aim of attaining power. The research aimed to identify the essential reasons for violent behavior practiced by Muslim Brotherhood; and the Movement's intellectual, organizational and structural impacts that contributed to its adoption of this violent behavior in order to impose the Islamic model which it considers as the solution for all the problems suffered by Egypt and other Arab countries. The research also aims to identify the experience of Muslim Brotherhood in ruling Egypt following the January25, 2011 revolution and the extent to which they are qualified to practice politics and mange the affairs of state and society . The research utilized the descriptive-analytical approach to analyze the movement's positions, views and behaviors in its attempts to bring about change by violence. Moreover, the research adopted the historical approach to shed light on the Movement's march and thought, besides using the case study approach relying on primary sources such as documents, reports and personal interviews as well as secondary sources such as books publications, articles , periodicals and the Internet. The research concluded several findings: violence is deep-rooted in the intellectual , organizational and structural principles of the Muslim Brotherhood Movement; and that the Egyptian regimes contributed to increasing this violence by excluding Muslim Brotherhood from political life. The research proved the failure of this violent way of enabling Muslim Brotherhood to reach power. The Research recommended the need to abandon violence as a tool for change or political practice and replace it with legitimate tool such as dialogue, freedom of expression and recognition of the other. The research also recommended that Muslim Brotherhood needs to change its strategy and methods of work, to refrain from exploiting religion and adopt a more peaceful and transparent approach and a clear discourse that is non-open to interpretation with regard to its renouncement of violence.
