Title: معدل الذكاء وعلاقته بالصحة النفسية وبعض المتغيرات الديمغرافية لدى طلاب المرحلة الثانوية بمحلية شندي

Abstract: This research aims to identify the intelligence average(I.Q) and its relationship with psychological health in secondary level students in Shendi Locality, and to achieve this, the researcher used the descriptive method in the study of the both parties of relationship, correlative and comparative , the collection and analysis of data by row consecutive matrices standard gauge that, measured and prepared mental health, prepared by Abdulmutaleb Algherreti and Abdulaziz Alsayed. It was selected stratified random sample taken from the study population contain 8.150, and the total sample size was 830 from both males and females, that represent 10% , of the study population, after collecting data, the researcher made a statistical package for Social Science(SPSS), using T test for two independent sample, person correlation coefficient and Mono-analysis test (ANOVA), the research find out several results, the importance one is the high of (I.Q) among the secondary level students in Shendi locality, and enjoy high psychological health, the study also arrived to that ,there is no relationship between intelligence and mental health, and there is no difference in intelligence average(I.Q) according to the variables of sex ( meals and females) ,and there is no relationship between intelligence and the level of parents education, and there is no differences between intelligence average and the variables of accommodation (rural or urban) .And also there are no differences between intelligence average and the variables of the kinship between the parents. Finally, the researcher recommended many of recommendations, the importance one, the need to provide psychological mentors in secondary schools, also need to return to live extended families, and recommended a number of proposals for future studies, and he set the resources and references which it is based in his research.
