Author: Dawoud, Azza Dawoud H.; Shayoub, Mohamed El Hassan
Abstract: The present study was undertaken to study the antidiabetic activity of the Eucalyptus supplemented diet and ethanolic extract of Eucalyptus camaldulensis leaves in alloxan-induced diabetic rats. The activity of the supplemented diet and extract were studied on alloxan-induced diabetic rats. The reduction on blood glucose after 21 days was 52.3% and 59.6 % with Eucalyptus supplemented diet and ethanolic extract respectively, while the blood glucose reduction of the reference drug Glibenclamide was 66.5%.
