milk can be defined as a white liquid produced by the mammary gland of female’s mammals for feeding their young.
Milk contains proteins ,fats ,vitamins ,minerals ,and sugars especially lactose.
The biological function of milk is to supply nutrition and immunological protection to the young mammals.
Milk contain about 0.7-0.8% Ash , calcium, phosphorus and magnesium are the most prevalent minerals in milk.
Mineral in milk exist in both solution and colloidal suspension.
The mineral elements known to be needed included Sodium, Potassium Chlorine, Calcium Phosphorus, Magnesium, Iron, Capper, Iodine, Sulphur, Manganese and Cobalt. |
