Title: الأمن النفسي و المشكلات السلوكية لدى طلاب الجامعاتبالمجمعات السكنية بولاية الخرطوم

Abstract: This research aims at identifying the main features of the psychological security and behavioral problems among the students of the residential complexes in Khartoum State. To achieve this objective, the researcher applied the descriptive correlation method. Stratified random sampling (6347) was used to select a sample of 350 male and female university students from four different residential complexes in Khartoum State. The tools of data collection included the psychological security scale designed by ShadiaAltal and IssamAbubakrah (1996), the behavioral problems scale, designed by Mohammed Sawalha and Mohammed Almahdi Omar (2005). The data were analyzed by SPSS through the following tests: T-test for one sample, T-test for two separate samples, One Way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA), Spearman correlation coefficient, and Spearman Brown. The most important results of the study are that: psychological security is statistically above the average, whereas the behavioral problems are statistically below the average. There is a significant negative correlation coefficient between psychological security and the behavioral problems. There is no significant difference in psychological security among university students according to gender, whereas, there is a significant statistical difference in behavioral problems among them according to gender in favor of female students. There is no significant difference in psychological security in the sample according to academic achievement and a significant difference in behavioral problems according to academic achievement. There is no significant difference in psychological security and behavioral problems among university students according to home (Urban, rural). In light of these results, the study recommended maintenance of the stability and the strengthening of security and the sense of security among students in residential complexes. Another recommendation postulates the importance of supporting the work of the psychological counseling, guidance and advocacy to addressimmediately the negative phenomena that appear. This in addition to supporting and directing the out-class activity to make it work an educational and sublime ideal to combat negative phenomena inresidential complexes, and the rehabilitation and training of cadres in the field of supervision of the students so that they mayachievethe optimally the task assigned to them regarding the stability of the psychological comfort of the student.
