Title: الآثار السلبية لتعاطي المخدرات على تحقيق مقصد الشريعة في حفظ الضرورات الخمس
Author: عثمان, فيروز عثمان صالح
Abstract: This study aims to explain the negative effects of drugs abuse on the total principles of the Islamic Shari ‘a. The magnanimous Shari ‘a persisted on the five exigencies which are : Creed, Self, Mind, Progeny, and Property. Drugs abuse wastes and undermine these five exigencies. Proceeding from this hypothesis by using the analytical inductive approach, the study shows and asserts that the abuser is remiss in his religion by infringing GOD’s prohibitions and the limits ordained by Allah. Drugs waste the mind which is the object of obligation, and destruct the self by the adverse harm they do to abuser’s health. Drugs also have negative effects on the embryo when both or one of the parents is an abuser. Drugs abuse is also a waste of money GOD entrusted to us. To show these negative effects from a religious point of view, the researcher will refer to antique and novel references in Tafsir, Hadith, Fiqh and its fundamentals, lexicons, sociology, and psychology
