Title: Country Sudan: Inter-Professional Peer-Assisted Learning to Address Generic Skills Training in Public Health
Author: Nurelhuda, Nazik M.
Abstract: What is the problem? Public university resources in Sudan are on the decline due to the economic crisis and competing government expenditures. This has resulted in serious brain drain among faculty. Due toincreasing demands upon those who chose to stay, teaching of generic skills to undergraduate students is often neglected. Peer-assisted learning (PAL) methodscan fill this gap. Simulation modelling, a form of PAL, is one of the most effective informal projects that aim at developing soft skills and abilities in an interactive and creative environment, while also serving as a platform to address local public health problems
