Abstract: The objective of this study work is to develop an on-the-go soil moisture content and pH tractor-mounted mapping system for precision agriculture. The proposed system comprises of soil moisture content and pH sensors, an external GPS navigator, hydraulic soil sampler and an especially made utility trailer which serve as a platform for the system. The measuring system unit includes the two sensors interfaced, microcontroller and Laptop as a primal measuring unit. The proposed system has been successfully developed. Laboratory calibration and in situ testing were carried for the developed system. a personal computer and an external GPS navigator were used in displaying, and recording the tractor position during the field sampling operation. spatial maps produced from the collected data showed considerable site-specific variation in the measured parameters over the field. the correlation between soil moisture content and pH resulted from the statistical analysis is affected by other soil properties.The developed system showed high reliability with acceptable error ranges, because of the low and simple system components.
