Abstract: This study was conducted aiming to know the nutritious value of mushroom and to know the possibility of mushroom growing and cultivation under the specific weather conditions of Khartoum state. Field trips to several stores and supermarkets at different areas in Khartoum has been conducted to gain data about mushroom prices and demand. Khartoum state weather analysis and mushroom environmental needs for its growth has been made, and studying the possibility of air cooling with cellulose pads to reach out the suitable temperatureneeded for its optimum growth, and the possibility of air heating at earlier stage in order to sterilizing and guaranteeing there are no germs or bacteria that will affect mushroom growing. Suggestion of the shape and dimensions of the mushroom unit and all the equipments and tools needed, and that is for two types of mushroom: 1. Button or AgaricusMushroom. 2. Oyster Mushroom. At the end we resulted to the possibility of mushroom growing and cultivation under the specific weather conditions of Khartoum state. The study recommended consideration of all environmental factors needed for mushroom growth and regular sterilization of the manure bed and the house or the unit, and consideration of regular cleaning as the mushroom is sensitive to any little amount of contamination. The study also recommended that whoever wanted to make this project should make economical feasibility study first.
