Abstract: This study was conducted at AlGIMMA scheme - GIAD Company for Crop Production in River Nile State-Shandi on early april , where center pivots were used for producing potato crop. The objectives were to evaluate the performance and the potential runoff of the center pivot irrigation system for one commercial center pivot sprinklers that widely distributed in Sudan. The results showed that the uniformity coefficients, using Heirman Hein (CuHH) methods was relatively low being (83%) and (77%), at 40% and 60% speed of the center pivot system, respectively. The distribution uniformity (Du) was (77%), (70%) at 40% and 60% speed, respectively which is below the acceptable value. The results also revealed that the application efficiency is (77%), (82%) at 40% and 60% , respectively. Significant differences in runoff were observed. The results showed that the run-off at 40% of system speed range between (2215ml) and (2421ml), and there was no runoff found at 60% of system speed. The initial infiltration rate was high and the basic infiltration rate was 7.91 cm/hr.
