Abstract: Detection and removal of landmines is considered an important worldwide concern. The classical methods which have been involved in the detection and clearance processes are ineffective, inefficient and time consuming. A promising solution to the problem is introduced by the proposed system. The proposed system is a landmine detecting robotic vehicle with the capability of detecting metallic landmines at a maximum depth of 7cm.The implemented system consists of a metal detection system which is mounted on a teleported car enabling it to navigate through the minefield to detect the landmines.
