Title: Design and Implementation of Icu Glasses

Abstract: Machine learning refers to programming a computer so that it can learn using the data it receives. The concept of machine learning is based on the ability of a computer to progress from given data. Blind people suffer in many aspects in their life. They find it hard to walk without help, know about their surroundings, and communicate with other people. Blind people cannot know the people in front of them unless they hear their voices. This report presents a way to help blind people to communicate with other people. Its objective is to provide a way to help them to recognize the face of the person standing in front of them. This was achieved by using a face detection algorithm and a face recognition algorithm. When the camera detects a face, it gives the user the option to save the identity of the person in front of the camera, as well as recognizing the saved person the next times he is in front of the camera. The objectives of the report were successfully met. Face detection was perfectly performed. The user has the option to save the identity of the detected face. Face recognition has an approximate accuracy of 80%. Some problems were faced during implementation and testing. These problems will be discussed. Future work was also mentioned.
