Abstract: The study aimed to evaluate the role of microfinance in the development of women in the Bahri and Eastern Nile Region, by studying the role of microfinance in providing financing services that have a positive impact on the poor, study of the role of microfinance in targeting low income and economically active people, the standard of living. The importance of the study stems from the important role played by microfinance in the fight against poverty. The importance of the study is also due to one of the developments in this field of diversity in the sources of microfinance and others. Al Amal Women Fund for Microfinance was selected as an institution specialized in assisting low income women, who are still practicing this type of financing after being certified as a non-depositary financing institution by the public. The study was based on two types of primary sources through the questionnaire that targeted a random sample consisting of 70 low-income groups for the target group (50 beneficiaries from the Eastern Nile region, 20 beneficiaries from Bahri locality), as well as personal interviews with the microfinance sector officials. Secondary information was obtained from references, studies, research, and the web. The study adopted descriptive statistics using Excel for the analysis of preliminary information. The main findings of the study are that; microfinance provides financial services that have a positive effect on the low income of the poor. In our review of the income variable and comparing it before and after funding, we find that after the test (t) calculated larger than the 17.63 table, this means that the income of women producers after ز obtaining funding has grown and increased significantly, and that there is a significant improvement in the level of income. And the age groups of beneficiaries was between 25 years to 60 years, and the results showed the university graduates is the largest proportion of 34%, while the proportion of secondary school graduates 33%, graduates of the primary stage of 24% and the illiterates of 7% and over university 1%, the number of married women ranked the percentage of 13% beneficiaries of the individual funding in the selected sample was 93%, while the percentage of beneficiaries of collective funding of the same sample was 7%. The projects were distributed in the commercial fields (80%), services (2%), consumerism (12%) and productivity (6%). However, these projects were small. This indicates that the company wants to guarantee the refund of its funds, for fear of stumbling, as the amounts granted were small, limited between 980-3000 pounds (78%) and 4000-6000 pounds (21%). The interest rate in the month is 1.19% and in the year it reaches 14.28%. This percentage is great, because we are dealing with a poor and low income segment. The study recommended that the interest of projects of a more productive nature ,rather than commercialization by ownership of means of production in addition to service projects, work to remove the obstacles faced by the parties from the small size of funding and increase the repayment period and reduce the cost of financing.
