Title: المشتقات في اللغة العربية و اللغة التركية دراسة تقابلية
Author: إسحق, محمد أحمد محمد
Abstract: This study tries to investigate the derivatives in both Arabic language and Turkish language (analytical and descriptive study). It also contrasts the derivatives in Arabic language as well as in Turkish language; illustrating the similarities and differences between them, identifying how the two languages under investigation derive their derivatives from roots and stems of words. The researcher uses the analytical and contrastive method to analyze the derivatives in both languages; illustrating the similarities and differences. The researcher depends on a number of Arabic, Turkish and English sources and references. One of the most important findings was that the biggest difference between the two languages in derivatives is that the morphological system of Arabic language uses suffixes, prefixes and infixes to build the derivatives. While Turkish language depends on adding only suffixes to form the derivatives. Arabic language forms its derivatives from the stems of words. As for Turkish language forms its derivatives from the roots and stems of words. The researcher recommends that the results of this study should be used in designing curriculums for Turks who learn Arabic language and Arabs who learn Turkish language. As a result of the scarcity in contrastive studies at the university of Khartoum, the researcher recommends that professors should encourage students in this field.
