Abstract: This study aims at investigating the level of emotional intelligence and its relationship with vocational adjustmentand other demographic variables, including: gender, age, and years of experience amongthe Central Campus employees of Khartoum University. To achieve this goal the researcher adopts the descriptive correlation method. Purposive total sampling method is applied to select a sample of 200employees(64 males and 136 females).For data collection, the researcher uses theEmotional intelligence scale designed by Osman & Rizk (2013), and the vocational adjustment scale designed by Goltan (2013).Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) is applied to analyze the data of this research by using: Alpha Cronbach test, T-testfor one sample, T-testfor two samples, Pearson correlation coefficient, and ANOVAtest. The results of the study are as follows: the Emotional intelligence was statistically high among the Central Campus employees of Khartoum University(p = 0.05); likewise, the vocational adjustmentwas statistically high among them (p = 0.05).There is statistically significant relationship between emotional intelligence and vocational adjustment amongthe sample (p = 0.05).There is statistically significant differences in emotional intelligence among the research sample according to gender in favour of the males (p = 0.05), statistically significant differences in emotional intelligenceaccording to age in favour of the above 50 years old (p = 0.05), and statistically differences in vocational adjustmentamong the investigated employees according to years of experiencein favour of those with more than 6 years of experience (p = 0.05). Finally, the researcher suggested some recommendations, the most important of which is establishing workshops to keep the high of level of emotional intelligence and vocational adjustment among Khartoum university employees.
