The world nowadays is a scene of unprecedented displaced and asylum due to conflicts, wars and other reasons. The Sudan hosts more than two millions refugees. The economic life of refugees and their ways of living in asylum countries are considered the most important challenges that face refugees in the world, where they face many difficulties to pursue their livelihood starting from moving to new places and to adopt with new living conditions which are different from their original places where they forced to depend on humanitarian assistances provided by international organizations and passing obstacles laid by host governments and communities on their economic activities. For all these reasons and due to importance of this matter the translation of this book into Arabic was considered, as it would provide more information concerning economic activities of refugees. The translator followed the method of “meaning translation” by selecting the closest Arabic words that fit the English text taking into account the linguistic, stylistic and cultural differences between Arabic and English. The translator tried as much as possible to avoid complexity to make a clear translation. Among the difficulties that have faced in the course of translating this book, the idiomatic expressions, some are difficult to translate because of the cultural differences, so the equivalents were given by using some foliar and electronic dictionaries.
