Title: Women and their Environment. A general View.
Author: Al Sadaty, Fahima Zahir
Abstract: The paper indicated that Sudanese women were subject to social inequitable distribution of resources, women disabilities and difficulties were connected with economic planning. The paper indicated how commercial mechanized agricultural schemes had dislocated men and women from their farms which resulted in influx of migrants to settle in shanty towns around urban cities living in depressed housing and under poor health conditions. The author suggested that a break-through for Sudanese women is only attainable within a total and a radical socio-economic and political change.
