Abstract: The Ministry of Infrastructure and Planning in the State of Khartoum entrusted the Constructional and Environmental Labs Centre with the provision of the geotechnical investigation for the TRAM Khartoum project. Dreams Tower for Engineering Company (DTC) has been contracted by the latter to undertake the geotechnical investigation for the TRAM Khartoum Project which starts from Omdurman locality passing by the capital Khartoum and ending at Bahri locality. The purpose of the geotechnical investigation is to provide the supervising consultant an idea about the sub-soils upon which the proposed TRAM route will pass through. This report presents the results of the field and laboratory testing program and outlines a general discussion of the site investigated results. This report is arranged in three Volumes. Fieldworks commenced at mid of May 2013, concurrently the laboratory testing was progressing. The geotechnical report was prepared and completed in July 2013.
