Title: Effect of A mycotoxin Detoxificant (Micronil)on Broiler Chick Performance
Author: Hamed, Abdel hafeiz
Abstract: The impact of three levels of a mycotoxin detoxifying agent commercially named Micronil (0.00, 1.00 and 1.25ml/liter of drinking water) on the performance of broiler chicks was determined. Feed intake, body weight gain, feed conversion ratio, livability and dressing out percentage were investigated in addition to weight of internal organs and differential leukocyte count. Feed intake was generally improved when the experimental birds were given Micronil water supplement at dose of 1.00 or 1.25ml/liter of drinking water. The improvement feed intake of birds supplement with the high dose Micronil water was significant in comparison with feed intake of the non supplemented control group. Similarly, the enhancing impacts of the recommended dose of Micronil on overall body weight gain, feed conversion ratio and dressing out percentage were significant (P<0.05) in comparison with its effect on feed intake. Although treatments had no significant (P>0.05) effect on internal organs, there was a significant (P<0.01) improving effect of supplementing drinking water with Micronil on dressing out percentages of broiler chicks. With respect to the role of Micronil on leucocytes count, the highest lymphocytes level (71.107%) that encountered with recommended dose of the Micronil water supplement would suggest the Micronil boosting effect on immune response of broiler chicks.
