Abstract: This research aims at drawing more attention to educational software production in general, and testing in particular. It sheds light on the advantages and role of computer in marking and analysing achievement tests. The researcher has adopted the Experimental Method. He has carried out an experiment comparing between using computer in marking and analysing achievement tests and the traditional method ( the manual method ) . Also , he has adopted the Descriptive Analytical Method and collected data using questionnaires. Moreover , he has made use of statistics to analyse and interpret the answers of the subjects . Among this statistical package , mean and percentage have taken a prominent place. The research has concluded that using computer in marking and analysing achievement tests saves time and raises some workloads from teachers´shoulders. Also, it provides feedback , and decreases marking subjectivity. Furthermore , it reduces expenses . One of the main recommendations of the research is the importance of allocating funds for computer educational software production, and for equipments and maintenance. Also, it has recommended encouraging researches and workshops in the field of computer educational software production and forming a channel between computer specialists and educationalists . Furthermore , it has recommended giving more attention to the training in computer for those who work in the field of education and including computer as a subject in the different faculties of universities and teachers´ institutes.
