Abstract
This study aims at investigating the Level of achievement motivation among employees in banking sector in Khartoum State. The Study also tries to examine the statistical differences in achievement motivation according to gender, social status types of banks. The study also tries to know the relationship between achievement motivation with level of age, job-scale, styles of leadership and job-satisfaction. The researcher applied the descriptive-correlation method in carrying out this study. Method Simple random sampling method applied in selecting a sample of (500) employees. The tools of data collection consist of the following parts: Achievement motivation scale, Leadership Styles scale and Job-satisfaction Scale. The data manipulated by Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) using the following tests; Pearson & Spearman Correlation Coefficient, T-test, One Way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and Mann-Whitney Test. The most important results of the study are: All dimensions of achievement motivation among banking sector employees are statistically above the average. There is significant difference in the dimension of access to social status according to employees' gender. There is significant difference in the dimension of access to social status according to employees' social status in favor of married employees. There is significant difference in the dimension of access to satisfy cognitive needs according to employees' social status in favor of unmarried employees. There is significant difference in achievement motivation according to type of the bank. There is a negative correlation between accesses to social status with employees' ages. There is a positive correlation between achievement motivation with job-scale
