Abstract

The research problem of the present study consists in that the girl's vagrancy is one of the factors that increase the percentage of the vagrants due to their basic role in giving birth to infants The present study aims at knowing if those vagrant girls have a role in the increase of the phenomena or not , as well as determining those factors leading to it . Therefore , the research work was based on some hypothesis that resume that the vagrant girls have a role in the increase of the number vagrants and that the economical, social and psychological of the vagrant girls have a role in the deteriorating of the conduct of the girl and push her towards delinquency and vagrancy. The present research applied the descriptive analytic method. The questionnaire is used as a tool, composed of (58) questions filled in by sample of (70) vagrant girls, chosen according to the available sample to explain the incapability to determine the number vagrant girls due to the Omdurman , due to the existence of the phenomena in it , in high numbers As well, questionnaire was used on the surrounding community of the phenomena in order to know their opinion and reaction towards it .the researcher conducted , As well interviews with the competent authorities related to the phenomena ( the police and the concerned authorities ) concerning the sub_ references, the researcher , adopted the previous researcher , studies, the books and the publications related to study . The study is composed of five chapters. The fist one covers the basic issues of The study as well as the previous studious and terminology. Chapter two treats the literature of the research including the theories related to the vagrancy; plus the introduction of the city of Khartoum and its annexes and extensions, whereas the geographical small limits of the study( the city of Omdurman ) is considered as an inseparable part of the research, bearing the same traits Chapter three explains the the research giving detailed information about its reasons, historical background , the status and reality of Sudan as regard to the . phenomena, the reasons that led to it , and finally the status of vagrants' girls ( their acts, languages and what they took as drugs or narcotics.) Then the researcher tackles Chapter four which is the main pillar of the research , and the research which is entitled' vagrancy of the girls ' it also includes the analysis of the statistical data, exposure of the results and explanation of the situation of the vagrant girls are mentioned as completing part of the study . The study came out to the following main results : -vagrancy of the girls increase of the phenomena, due to the fact that the majority of the individuals of the sample had given birth to a child, despite their ignorance of the place of this child -the majority of the individuals of the sample are from the Nuba tribe, that the west of Sudan ( Kordofan and Darfur ) is the main source of the items of the phenomena, and that main reason of the phenomena is the displacement due to the unbalanced development as regard to the centre and the rural areas which yielded an economic gap that resulted in its turn in many social problems and produced large waves of displacement towards the capital causing disequilibrium in its services. -the majority of the individuals of the sample are above (12) years, which is the age of fertility of the girls; and that they are somewhat educated and cultured . -the vagrancy of those girls is partial and not complete . -they practice many unlawful acts that lead them to be arrested and questioned by the authorities responsible of the public order ( the police ), and they are sometimes subject to abuse. -the majority of them are conducted to special child institutions, but they couldn’t follow-up there , either for the deterioration of the services at these institutions, but the majority of them couldn't continue due to their following a free liberal life in the street, and their refusal of the restrictions and the principals of reformation . the category of the sample was valued to be characterized with violence and aggression due to what they have experienced, nevertheless, there are some of them distinguished with excellence ( culture, awareness). The above mentioned elements shall be developed in the research with more details.
