Abstract

The Study took up some of the conflict within the Umayad House and its impact on the Umayad state in the seat of the Khalifate , and the states under its rule . The study also included the life history of Abdel Aziz Ibn Marwan , his lineage on his father and mother side , his early life and his family , in addition to his role in the consolidation of Umayad rule in Egypt . The study also took up the aspects of administration , and administrative posts in Egypt , and administrative divison in Egypt , in addition to urban , cultural and social aspects such as building of Fustat , Halwan and planning of roads , homes , acquired lands and landas which are not owned and acquired by the government, taking Nile water level measures and looking after it , in addition to relations between copts and Arabs , festivals and celebrations . The study shed the light on financial matters such as “ Zakat “ “Giza “ land taxes and other taxes , and how it was collected , the judiciary system and the most prominent judges who served in Egypt . The study also took up the Arab Army and its role in governing Egypt , soldiers , Bureau , its origin and its development , and the Islamic Navy and ship dockyards , and the role of Egypt in the North African conquests since the beginning of Arab conquests until year 86 ( Higri calendar ), corresponding to Year 705 A.D
