Abstract

This thesis tackles "The impact of Isalm in Russia & the Russian authors Alexander Pushkin, Michael Lermontov, Leo Tolstoy, & Ivan Bonen" and the impact of their production in Russian writers and the whole Russian society. There are five chapters in this thesis; each chapter contains a number of themes. The first chapter speaks about the history of Islam in Rassia and the impact of Orientalism and Islam in Russian writers. It also tackles the origin of Russian translations and holy Qur'an interpretation in Russia, besides the mention of the Arabic manuscripts lie in Russian museums, then the mention of Islam in Russia today. The second chapter speaks about Alexander Pushkin, his roots, origins and the impact of Islam in his publications. The third chapter speaks about Michael Lermontov, his roots, origins, growth and the impact of Orientalism and Islam in his publications and the general features of his writings. The Russian phelosephor Leo Tolestoy comes in the fourth chapter tackling his roots, origins, impact of Islam in his publications, his confession in his last days, and finally his death and the poems of Arabic poets grieving his departure. The fifth and last chapter tackles the roots, origins, impact of Orientalism and Islam in Ivan Bonen publications, with the mention of some parts of his writings. In the end comes the conclusion of the thesis explaining the factors of Arab East influence on Russian literature, the results and recommendations.
