Abstract
Keyworde المستخلص باللغة الإنجليزية This study aims at understanding the relationship between scholagtic retardation and self-concept among second class pupils at intermediate schools, in Alhufof -Saudi Arabia kingdom The researcher has used descriptive method. The study sample being selected from scholagtic retarded pupils, and non scholagtic retarded pupils. The sample size is (245) pupils, (128) males and (117) females. The selection was done by random method from pupils who are schoiagtic retarded. A questionnaire was used to collect data along with the self concept and basic information. The researcher has applied different statistical methods:- the single group T- test, the 2 independent groups T-test, person correlation coefficient and the Alfa kronbakh. The following findings were reached: 1. Statistically, self-concept between those who are scholagtic retarded is found to be mediate. 2. There are significant differences between scholagtic retarded and non scholagtic retarded in self concept for the benefit of the first group. 3. There are no significant differences between scholagtic retarded according to sex (females, male). 4. There is significant reversible relationship between scholagtic retarded in self concept, according to the level of parents education
