Abstract
The title: The people of the Qiblah and their rights in Islamic Law The main goals of the research: To show the importance of the term "the People of the Qiblah" from the verses of the Noble Qu'ran, the Hadiths which mention the people of the Qiblah and this term in the statements of the scholars of Islam. Then the research will examine the signs of when a person is considered to be from the people of the Qiblah by research the basic signs such as the two testimonies of faith, recognition of Islam and doing different Islamic rituals such as prayer and the Adhaan (the call to prayer) and then the different secondary signs such as following ones parents or being part of an Islamic state and a Muslim man testifying for another that he is a Muslim. The research will also cover refutations of those sects that have gone astray regarding this issue like the Khwaarij, the people of Tawaquf and Tabyeen and the different sects of the Murjiyah. This research will then cover the different Islamic rights of the people of the Qiblah, the definition of these rights, the different types of rights in the Islamic text, the special right of allegiance and advising the people of the Qiblah, while dealing with them in the best of manners, not harming them and constantly making supplication for the Muslims "the People of the Qiblah". The research will then look into the people of Bid'ah (innovation) from the people of the Qiblah and how they should be treated. It will also look into the sects that claim to be from the people of the Qiblah. Finally, the research will discuss the importance of the people of the Qiblah coming together to work with each other and implement the belief of alliance to Islam and the Muslims and freeing oneself from disbelief and the disbelievers using the evidence from the Islamic text proving this point and the efforts of the scholars of Islam regarding this such as al-Hasan ibn Ali, Salaah ad-Deen al- Iyoobee and shaykh al-Islam ibn Taymiyah. The methodology of research: While writing this thesis I examined and analyzed all the subject matter to reach the conclusions in this research. The most important conclusions: 1- The People of the Qiblah they are the nation of Muslims that have surrendered to Islam even if they are from the people of desires and evil deeds as long as they do not reject anything that the Prophet –peace be upon him- came with. 2- We consider everyone who appears to follow Islam to be a Muslim if it is not known that he has performed an action that nullifies his Islam and it is not a must that we search to see if he is honest except in situations where it is a condition to be upright. 3- The People of the Qiblah have Islamic rights that have been defined by Islamic law and they are from the most important things a Muslim should learn in order to implement them. 4- All reformers from the scholars and leaders of the Muslims must strive to unify the Muslims and help them come together as one. Recommendations: As for the recommendations I recommend that all Da'wah organizations and universities throughout the Islamic world should make great efforts to study the situation of "the People of the Qiblah" to find the reasons behind their separation, backwardness and why some of them serve as allies to their enemies following them in their ideologies and politics. Thus, showing the means of correcting their situation and calling the Muslims as individuals and governments to return to what they must be upon as one Muslim nation built on pure belief in their creed and worship while following the way of the pious predecessors from the companions of the Prophet Muhammad –peace be upon him- and those who followed in their footsteps.
