Abstract
An enzyme is a protein or protein complex that works within
the living body under the physiological body temperature range. It acts as a
mediator that speeds up biochemical reactions and controls the stereo chemical
structure of the output. Several factors affect the rate at which enzymatic
reactions proceed in vivo, or in vitro. These factors are: pH, enzyme
concentration, substrate concentration, temperature, and the presence of any
activators or inhibitors.
