Abstract

The research aimed to economic and social development in North Darfur state, implemented in Al Fashir locality, which considered to be one of the most important progressive area in agricultural field with both vegetal and zoological side. The research aims to study the most prominent (outstanding) economic, social developmental projects in the area which can cause real development within the area and benefit planners, researchers and decision makers in considering the necessary contriving, in addition to the knowledge of the developmental problems magnitude, and its extended reflects in the economy and society for the necessary solution. Different hypothesis were put which concentrate on the area show that there are possibilities which can be exploited for economic and social development in that area, beside that, the security conditions are not stable, and the shortness of policy of the country towards the region to a great extend hindered the implementation of developmental projects this result in the penury of development in the area, further the implementing of projects which do not achieve the development for decreasing (diminishing) the poverty and redistribution of the wealth in general in all administrative unities in the area. To investigate this, the study depends on several methods for collecting data; theoretical data from the main resources and this exemplified in the field of studies that depends on observation, personal interview in addition to questionnaire which includes samples of all units of the society. Conclusion – the result discussed in the light of hypotheses that was able to arrived at many points and suggestions which was considered as obstacle for the development in the area which is of natural, economic resources depending on the best exploitation that is because of the scarce of physical possibilities – beside that the progress in security striving still limited as a result of instability of security and government engagement with conflict, the security conditions still deteriorate to the worst continually, reflect negatively in the development, Through these results which arrived at, the research suggests recommendations which considered to be guaranteed in solving the problems of economic and social development in that area, appeared to be necessary for saving the essential services for the community in the field of educational service, health, security, cultural, nourishment and transport, together with being careful about the economic, agricultural, and industrial projects and exerting efforts for developing them particularly the industrial one for that it saves the essential needs for community and also approximate the difference between classes, beside to its dealing with unemployment which helps in eliminating the causes of the poverty and injustice in the area.
