Abstract
This study was conducted in the Darfur states with the
objectives of assessing the socio - economic impacts of foreign
organizations and hybrid troops on the Darfur community.
The main objective of this study was to examine whether
this huge number of foreigners and huge financial means have an
impacts on the Darfur community socially and economically.
The main question of this study is the extent to the
following :
Are they any socio - economic impacts of the huge
foreign presence on the local community level in Darfur ? if yes,
what are these impacts ? are they positive or negative ? In order to
meet the study objectives, multi - stage strafied random sampling
procedure was used to select the sample of (1192) from the
population of (827656) household and primary data was collected
through
Field
Survey
carried
out
in
the
study
area.
Also
descriptive statistics and cross tabulation were used to achieve the
study objectives.
The main finding of this study are that :-
1- 29% of the sample thinks there are some changes in the social
behaviors in particularly, the youth and children they imitate
foreigners in their dress and behavior.
2- There are 66% of the native who have benefited from the
foreign presence making a lot of money due to cash flow and
raising the rental property prices.
3- There are only a few minority of the native around 3% satisfied
intermarriage with foreigner’s presence in the region.
