Abstract
Oral ulceration is a common complaint and there is a large number of causes. These
causes can be trivial or life-threatening and the key to successful management is correct
diagnosis. In this lecture, the differential diagnosis of oral ulcerations will be discussed
and illustrated. An algorithm for differential diagnosis presented and treatment options
debated.
